Description

Electrical Craft Work: Perform set-up, adjustment, timing, troubleshooting, replacement and programming of electrical equipment.  Dismantle, inspect and rebuild electrical assemblies to insure conformance to specifications or production requirements.

Instrument Tech Craft Work: Perform set-up, adjustment, calibrations, ranging, PID control, programming and troubleshooting of instrumentation equipment, including measurement equipment.

Electrical / Instrument Tech Craft Additions: Contribute to a workplace by performing all tasks in accordance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, NFPA 70E, Lock Out/Tag Out/Try Out safety rules, codes, policies and regulations and Confined Entry policies. Follow waste disposal and accumulation requirements as set out by the HAZMAT policy. Contribute to customer satisfaction.   Work as a self-motivated individual with minimal supervision. Work to reduce unplanned downtime by working with Supervisor to make necessary improvements in equipment. Use data and specific procedures to determine Root-cause failure and strive to correct the problem versus the symptom.

Preferred Qualifications    
  • High school diploma or technical college, preferably Electrical, or related field with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a food-processing environment.
  • Industrial Journeyman level and/or on-the-job experience with heavy industrial Electrical, Electrical Controls.
  • Expertise with ControlLogix, SLC5-500, Rockwell Factory Talk View, DNet, CNet, ENet IP, ISA Symbology and P&IDs.
  • Have a working knowledge of ABB and Fanuc Robotics.
  • Able to interpret P&ID drawings and specifications, electrical design, network designs, PLC & HMI development and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Must be proficient and safe in the use of the following test instruments:  volt/ohm multi-meters, amp meters, meggers, transducers, oscilloscopes and PLC based program/diagnostic panels. HMI touch screens.
  • Experience in Variable Frequency Drives and Kinetic drives required.
  • Experience in the use of hand tools specific to electrical/electronic/controls field, as well as mechanical hand tools
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints and schematics
  • All candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and physical and written skill assessment test
