Job Title: Associate Director of Insights

LOCATION: Texas

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Champion the consumer as the foundation upon which brand excellence is created.
  • Lead consumer insights for both Retail and Foodservice marketing teams, setting and balancing priorities appropriately. Manage design and execution of a range of primary market research projects.
  • Lead the organization’s thinking, building strong relationships with both internal and external partners.
  • Lead planning and execution of primary research. Analyze consumer, market, and retailer trends via syndicated data and secondary sources. Synthesize findings to create clear stories that help drive smart business decisions.
  • Define critical marketing and business issues through broad-based business analysis and consultation with key managers across critical functions.
  • Responsible for IRI partnership, leading the team’s use and integration of syndicated data insights.
  • Interface with key customers in support of consumer insight strategies and marketing applications.
  • Support development of effective marketing communication plans, including digital media and shopper marketing.
  • Demonstrate strong team leadership and project management.
  • Manage assigned budgets for primary and secondary research.
  • Demonstrate leadership and strategic thinking needed for both the current position and a future position as a Director of Insights.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors required; Masters preferred
  • 10+ years relevant CPG experience
  • Prefer experience in Food
  • Strong experience with syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen)
  • Solid understanding of research methodologies and suppliers with a broad range of research techniques
  • High level of accountability and self-direction to work autonomously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – experience and comfort in communicating with and presenting to executive-level management, sales teams, etc.
  • Travel less than 15%
