We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include assisting with various aspects of the accounts payable process. You’ll be responsible for verifying and reconciling invoices, tracking expenses, and resolving discrepancies.  Your role will also involve communicating with vendors and internal teams to maintain accurate payment records and compliance with company policies. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to collaborate will be essential in contributing to the smooth operation of the accounts payable function.

COMPENSATION: $25.00 – 28.00/hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• High volume data entry converting to fully automated invoice management.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payment disbursements.
• Monitor match exceptions and out of tolerance PO’s resolving differences with appropriate personnel and ensure variances are appropriately cleared by appropriate personnel (procurement or accounts payable)
• Review and reconcile vendor statements to maintain positive relationships with vendors, ensuring timely resolution of payment-related inquiries.
• Monitor and track purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Assist with month end closing requirements that could involve journal entries and reconciliations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma
• Preferred 3+ years accounts payables experience.
• Good understanding of accounts payable principles, processes, and best practices.
• Experience with AP Automation and OCR technology is preferred
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detailed oriented, organized, professional attitude, and reliable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel & Word
• Strong skills in 10-key by touch and ability to type 40-50 wpm.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education (required): High school or better.
• Experience (preferred): 3 years: Accounts payable.
