Job Title: Processing Supervisor

COMPENSATION: $65k – $80k/year (DOE)

SCHEDULE: Graveyard

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and maintains good working relations with all team members making sure to be fair and impartial.
  • Cooperates with other supervisors and managers.
  • Responsible for all fill weight, counts, net weights and yields.
  • Ensures appropriate components are set to accommodate the product schedules.
  • Assigns and supervise team members in the performance of their assigned duties, strongly emphasizing cost, quality, quantity, safety, and sanitation.
  • Train team members in the proper methods of carrying out assignments and develop good working habits.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure continuous production and avoid issues.
  • Maintains a high standard of discipline in the department, addressing team members concerns in a timely manner.
  • Promotes and maintains communication and extends departmental cooperation.
  • Maintains periodic checks to insure proper usage of materials and makes daily production reports reflecting yields, cooler inventories, waste, safety, and GMP ’s.
  • Trains/counsels team members in good housekeeping, sanitation, and safety problems and insists on remedial action immediately.
  • Applies and understands company policies regarding Affirmative Action Program, Good Manufacturing Practices, Rules and Regulations, Attendance and Personal appearance.

SKILLS:

  • High School Diploma or some college or equivalent experience and/or training in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Two plus years’ experience in Processing including Bakery, Prebatch preferred. Production, Packaging, QA experience a plus.
  • Good math skills, ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Able to lead and give direction to large number of team members.
  • Ability to communicate well with all levels.
  • Good understanding of M3, Redzone preferred.
  • Must have excellent Microsoft skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: High School or better.
  • Experience: 2 years: Processing including Bakery, Prebatch preferred. Production, Packaging, QA experience a plus.
