ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Compares identifying information and counts, measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  • Maintains inventories of finished goods
  • Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials or hooks tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transports load to designated area.
  • Extensive use of AS400/Prims system and updates daily records.
  • Organizes the planned work activities and Files documents and keeps files updated
  • Assumes leadership role when Lead is absent.
  • Answers phones and set pick up appointments
  • Maintain knowledge, understanding and adherence to Safety policies, USDA, QA, HACCP, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), sanitation Rules, regulations and company policies.
  • Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position
  • All other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Must have a forklift operator’s license
  • Must be able to pass a math test with a 75% score or higher
  • Minimum of one (1) year of forklift experience preferred
  • Able to lift 50lbs. Safely
  • Responsible with equipment and vehicles
  • Clean driving record (no property damage accidents, or DUI’s within the past three years)
  • Good eye/hand coordination and good motor skills
PAY QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Level 7 – must be able to meet all the essential functions of this position.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  •  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS and OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Forklift, Stand-up Lift and Pallet Jack certification required
